About the event
We are pleased to invite you to the second Business Angel Business Breakfast and the first of such events in Klaipėda, co-hosted by Lithuanian Business Angels Network (LitBAN) and CoInvest Capital for the LitBAN members and private co-investors, authorized by the Fund. This event will provide an opportunity to discuss your positive experiences and lessons learned and to share ideas on how we can support each other in achieving more successful investments, how to improve the deal flow and portfolio management to make sure we can celebrate more successful exits together and share with your profits made.
This event is targeted at business angels, residing in the western part of Lithuania and aiming to support their portfolio companies with USA market expansion and fund-raising plans. The same event will be hosted in Vilnius on July 10 (or 11th, tbc), for which you would need to register separately (see relevant event registration form).
RSVP by June 28, 2024. Places are limited, and registration is mandatory, on a first-came-first-served basis.
Our guest speaker will be LitBAN Ecosystem Heroe for the Year 2023 Apolinaras Sinkevičius (USA), who will share in-depth insights on how to keep startup financial records in proper order to meet reporting requirements of IRS (Internal Revenue Service, USA) and VMI (Valstybinė mokesčių inspekcija, Lithuania), how to structure future proof ESOP's (Employee Stock Option Plans), how and why to consider a "Delaware flip" and other insider's tips and tricks to raise funding from USA investors and/or expand to the American market.
Apolinaras Sinkevičius is a seasoned entrepreneur and coach, having helped to build 7 great companies in the technology, professional services, and entertainment industries, dedicated to supporting the Lithuanian startup ecosystem and helping it grow.
In his own words, "building and scaling operations, finance, and talent management are my craft, my passion, and something I immensely enjoy. I also tend to be on the more technical side than most of my peers since tech has been my geek since 10. Who knew that producing charts for my mom on 286 using Harvard Graphics would shape my career so much. Green phosphor CRT has a special place in my heart. I don’t remember ever having a single dull day in my career. Financial models, budgets, handling fundraising and due diligence, creating contracts/legal infrastructure, on the front lines of strategic negotiations, building teams, deploying and managing e-commerce, CRM, sales management, payment processing, analytics/KPI, internal IT, and other systems – that is my operator and builder “happy space.” I've been a co-founder, an early employee, and one shepherding the company through multiple-X growth. I have taken companies from zero to B rounds, raised $30MM+ of capital."
